Experience
Erin Murphy joined Melcher Law, P.C. in 2026 as a Family Law Paralegal, bringing 25 years of experience in family law. She began her career in the Family Service Office of the Suffolk Probate and Family Court, where she worked directly with attorneys, litigants and the public, answered questions about cases, scheduling and court procedures, and processed restraining orders. That time inside the court gave her a practical understanding of how family law cases move through the system.
Erin then moved into private practice, where she has spent more than two decades supporting family law attorneys at Boston-area firms. She drafts complaints for divorce, contempt and modification, motions and financial statements. She has long served as the point person for discovery: drafting requests, responses and subpoenas, and reviewing, organizing, Bates stamping and redacting document productions. She also helps prepare for depositions and trials, including assembling exhibit books.
Erin has a passion for helping people through one of the most difficult times in their lives. She especially enjoys working on complicated financial statements and discovery, where careful, organized work can make a real difference in a client’s case.
A native of the South Shore, Erin is thrilled to now help people from the area where she has spent her life.
