Katherine is a dedicated Paralegal and trained mediator at Melcher Law PC, where she combines professional legal precision with deep empathy to help clients navigate pivotal life transitions. Born in Boston and raised on the South Shore, Katherine manages crucial client communications, prepares drafts of legal documents for attorney review, and attends court when necessary to assist counsel.
Before entering the legal field, Katherine spent ten years climbing the ranks of the auto sales industry, ultimately serving as the Director of her own sales team. In 2019, a shift in her own family dynamics completely changed her personal and professional trajectory. Driven by a desire to help others facing similar crossroads, she balanced full-time work and raising her family to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Legal Studies from Roger Williams University. She also holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Massasoit Community College. After earning her Bachelors and spending a few years working at Melcher Law, she wanted to become even more involved and help those facing issues similar to the ones she once faced herself; navigating divorce, custody and modifications, and even being a temporary guardian for her grandchild. In 2025, Katherine attended Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education to be trained as a Mediator, capable of assisting families on a one-by-one basis.
What sets Katherine apart is her ability to use her real-world, first-hand life experiences to connect with people during what is often their most difficult moments. As a trained mediator, she relies on practical advice and constructive communication to help families de-escalate tension and resolve conflicts smoothly. She is deeply committed to being a steady, reassuring anchor for clients from the initial phone call to the final resolution.
